Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
